Adidas launches online graphic novel for World Cup
Adidas has launched a campaign for the World Cup which places football stars in an online graphic novel.

The graphic novel is part of Adidas’ campaign around the world cup that features famous footballers such as Lionel Messi, David Villa and Steven Gerrard around the strapline of ‘What every team needs’.

The graphic novel, called The Quest, allows people to interact with a story line that centres on which footballer will win the Golden Boot Award. As the tournament continues, the storyline reacts to the results of the games.

The campaign, created by ad agency 180 Amsterdam/RIOT, is promoting the Adidas F50 football boot and during each episode shows a tally of how many goals have been scored throughout the tournament using the shoe.

The graphic novel will feature on the Adidas Football site but also be accessible through he Adidas Football Facebook page, which now has over 1m fans.
